Al good things must end. It’s the last summer before high school. Four friends, Jacob, Ichiro, Hannah and Hayden, vow to make it epic. But when they discover an abandoned house on a forgotten island, their fun takes a dark turn. Terrified by what they learn about the house called “Summer’s End,” but unable to resist its call, they decide to camp out on the island. . . and their summer to remember turns into a nightmare they won’t soon forget!

Joel A. Sutherland is a mild-mannered children’s and youth services librarian by day, and a speculative fiction writer and editor by night. He has written four collections in the "Haunted Canada" series; and Summer’s End, a middle-grade horror novel; and The House Next Door and Kill Screen, part of the middle-grade horror series "Haunted". His greatest professional satisfaction is getting the right books into the right little hands. He lives in Courtice, Ontario with his wife, and three children, a goldendoodle and a mountain of books.
