Classroom management would appear to be a very complex task in which teachers must rely on a wide range of skills. Known for having a major influence on the evolution and success of students, it is the basis of a healthy, safe and favourable environment for learning. This book aims to equip the teachers and the professionals who assist them in implementing efficient classroom management practices. Classroom management is made up of five components: managing resources (time, space and material), establishing clear expectations, developing positive social relationships, keeping students focused on and engaged in learning, and managing disruptive behaviour. This book bridges the gab between theory and practice by suggesting a variety of intervention methods and strategies supported by research. Suggested exercises, reflection activities, tools and references are present in every chapter which benefits self-assessment and allows for theory to become practice.
