My name is Henri Bastien, and I'm 14 years old. Three-quarters of my Facebook friends are part of my family and I spend most of my free time playing Just Dance on my own or watching Glee when nobody's looking. At high school, it's like I don't exist, and Noémie, the girl I'm following on Instagram, is way to cool for me. But all that's going to change. I'm about to reveal my true talent. Olivier Simard has a bachelor’s degree in literature and has been teaching high-school French for several years. In 2012, he published a novel for young adults, Kickflip, with La courte échelle. Olivier is a big fan of free taster classes. Over the years, he has tried his hand at kung fu, boxing, acroyoga, mime, modern dance, and even playing the drums and the clarinet.

The rhythm and graphic design in this book make you think of the GIFs we see all over social media. It’s just long enough to weave a story that doesn’t cut things short or stretch them out, either.
