Moments on a Staircase
#No
by Mary HaylockMoments On a Staircase is a memoir both humourous and emotional.
Mary Haylock is a wry chronicler of the joy, pain and loss that comprise the sum of our lives. She writes humanely and intelligently of the quotidian moments that slowly accrete to form a life, fully lived. She combines frankness, a jigger of self-deprecation and great heart into a satisfying, maple leaf-flavored cocktail.
Had Erma Bombeck channeled a teasing glimpse of Alice Munro with echoes of Nora Ephron, she would have been known as Mary Haylock.
